The Benefit of using search engines to find

This write-up was produced as a result of a test that helped me to discover that whilst the internet is second nature to most users there are still millions of people who are interested in movies and have not yet mastered the art of using the web.

With the advent of the internet it is now easy to find any kind of information about movies instantly. A few years ago you needed to take the whole afternoon at the library searching through hundreds of books for help on this topic.

Today you can simply take 5 minutes or less and find all the information you need about movies or niches topics of the same subject.

With billions of pages available for you to check out how best can you find this information online? The answer is  - through search engines.

Take some time to read through these few but useful operators that you can use. My aim is not to flood you with too much information that you can’t use but I simply want to provide exactly what you need without wasting your time. To some this may be just a refresher “course” but I still do encourage you to read on.

Currently the most popular search engine is Google so the tips are more focused on Google.com but you can use them on Yahoo.com.

To make sure your search returns only the pages with the EXACT information you are looking for simply put inverted commas. For example when looking for websites that have information on courses about movies, you should type “movie courses”, If for example you want careers just enter “movie careers”. What you will get there is a list of pages that contain the exact words searched for.

You also have an option to use the “+” operator. For instance, entering a terms such as “documentary about movies”+ “movie books” will result in pages that have those keywords appearing in the same page but not necessarily close to each other. 

My last tip is simply to search within one reliable site. You can do this by entering the operator “site:” at the start of your quiery text then follow with the specific domain name and then the keyword(s).Using this one will enable you to search through a site of your choice only.

Armed with this information there is no reason to spend hours searching for that information no matter how rare it is, whether it is about your internet in - movies or any kind of content you may be interested in like cell phone number reverse search.
